Important How-to-Order Information
For New Prescriptions
(MembeRx Choice and Prescription Savings Service Programs)

Our goal at AARP Pharmacy Services is to provide you with the best possible service. The tips below will help you get the quickest service to meet your particular need. Please note that AARP membership is required in order to utilize the AARP Pharmacy Services program.

The AARP Pharmacy Services program, provided by United Healthcare, has selected Express Scripts as our licensed mail order pharmacy for the prescription discount card programs. If you are enrolled in AARP’s Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan with a prescription drug benefit your new mail order pharmacy provider will be Prescription Solutions Mail Service Pharmacy. This change will be effective on August 1st, 2007. There are no changes to your current prescription drug coverage. Please call AARP Health Care Options at 1-800-523-5800 for more information regarding prescription drug coverage under your plan. The same individuals should call Prescription Solutions at 1-888-223-2292 for more information regarding mail order.

You need medication to treat an illness today (e.g., antibiotics) Fill your prescription at a local retail pharmacy. If you are a MembeRx Choice ® or Prescription Savings Service cardholder present your card at any one of over 53,000 participating pharmacies nationwide and you will automatically receive preferred pricing.
You need maintenance medication (e.g., blood pressure or cholesterol) and you choose the convenient mail order service. Print the prescription order form and mail with your original prescription to
